The Distillery

Imperial Distillers and Vintners Pvt. Ltd., (Unit of Cheers Group) located in Goa, state of India comprising the mainland on the country’s southwestern coast and an offshore island is located about 250 miles (400 km) aerial distance south of Mumbai (Bombay) consisting area of 1,429 square miles (3,702 square km).

The distillery has perfect production facility for making the magical malt spirit. The modern malt spirit producing plant has copper stills of the best design and technology. The installed capacity is to produce One million liters of the finest Indian malt spirit per annum.

The distillery uses the best of what the malt distilling industry has to offer. The top quality pot stills are made from thick copper plates to give best yield particularly smooth, pure and elegant malt spirit.

The State-of-the-art malt spirit distillery with most modern and efficient distillation plant is set up with equipment supplied by the best national and international manufacturers. By combining the best of Scottish tradition with its most modern state-of-the-art technology, Imperial’s dedicated team of experienced distillers and blenders mix the magic for the discerning connoisseurs. 

Utmost care is taken at every step in the production process and the storage of malt spirit prior to bottling which is crucial to produce a truly outstanding Indian Single Malt whisky. A significant number of oak wood casks are resting in the cool, dark warehouses. The earthen floors in these warehouses allow nature to play its part in the making a great Indian Single Malt whisky.

The oak casks are imported from the best cooperages in Scotland and across the world.  The casks are made from the best naturally aged center ring wood.  The premium malt spirits are stored in the barrels until it is drawn by Imperial’s world class blenders and converted into fine bottled Indian Single Malt whisky.

The Three Monkeys Indian Single Malt Whisky is National Award winner for Excellence (by Government of India) has been leisurely matured in the wine, bourbon and sherry casks deriving a fruity aroma profile with oaky spice notes complemented with vanilla, caramel and subtle raisins with nutty and sweet dark chocolate. It has a long, warm complex nutty finish with a balanced dry and sherry sweetness. The intense barley malt, nutty, citrus, apricot develops overall very interesting multifaceted taste. Undoubtedly, it’s a “Master of Malt” produced especially for the discerning whisky connoisseurs the world over. Cheers!
